expertise in Computer Forensics, but also wish to make use of
their own in-house resources. In these circumstances Haymarket
can provide a specially designed support service.
A
typical service would include the provision of, and training
in the use of forensic imaging devices. This would enable a
member of staff, anywhere in the world, to capture a forensic
image of a laptop or desktop computer. This image would then
be analysed for evidence of suspicious activity. Support would
normally be provided on a 24/7 basis and most problems can be
quickly resolved by telephone or email.
Example
A
major international bank was concerned about the activity of
one of its senior executives in Dubai. Specialist software was
emailed to the local security manager, together with detailed
instructions in its use.
Using a locally acquired hard drive, a forensic image of the
suspect’s computer was taken and sent to London for detailed
analysis. A full report was prepared within 2 days of the request
for assistance.
