We
live in a digital world. Information is recorded at many stages
of our daily activities. These include access control systems,
telephone call logs, IT network system logs, various system
logs on desktop and laptop computers, fax logs, email server
records, backup-tapes and records, date stamp and other information
on electronic documents.
A
comprehensive review of all of this information, usually carried
out on a covert basis, can produce an uncannily accurate picture,
or profile, of an individual's activities. This can be invaluable
when dealing with fraud or suspected misconduct.
